Lead Information Security Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead security engineer role for a large public university system.  

Role:

With a focus on infrastructure and endpoint security, you will conduct proactive and reactive vulnerability and risk analysis, and implement actions and processes to mitigate risk.  You will be responsible for installing, configuring and managing intrusion prevention / detection systems and firewalls.  You will work with IT leadership to increase the awareness of information security risks and policies across the university, including with senior leadership.  

Requirements:

– Bachelors degree (or Associates degree with CompTIA or Microsoft Security+ certification).
– 3+ years experience as network engineer or systems administrator / engineer with at least 1 year experience in a position with significant information security responsibilities.
– Expertise in network security, operating systems and cryptography.
