Job Summary

Job Title: Salesforce Product Owner 
Location: Hybrid – NYC or DC Preferred 
Duration: Initial 6-month contract with potential for full-time hire

Context:

A leading mission-driven banking client is seeking a Salesforce Product Owner to lead the vision, roadmap, and continuous improvement of their Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) implementation. The Product Owner will serve as the primary liaison between the business and the Salesforce delivery team, ensuring that the platform delivers maximum value and aligns with evolving business needs.

This is a critical role at the center of digital transformation, requiring strong stakeholder engagement, backlog management, and strategic product leadership. You will be responsible for articulating business requirements, prioritizing enhancements, and ensuring successful delivery in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities: 

* Own the Salesforce product roadmap, with a focus on Financial Services Cloud and banking-specific use cases.
* Act as the voice of the business to the Salesforce delivery team and voice of the product to business stakeholders.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders across departments (e.g., retail banking, lending, operations, compliance) to gather and prioritize requirements.
* Translate business needs into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items.
* Manage and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value and ROI.
* Partner with Salesforce Developer, Architects, QA and Scrum Master to ensure effective sprint planning, delivery, testing, and deployment.
* Define and track product KPIs and user adoption metrics to inform ongoing enhancements.
* Drive product demos, training support, and change management efforts in collaboration with internal teams.
* Champion user-centric design, system usability, and data integrity across the Salesforce platform.

Required Qualifications:

* 4+ years of experience as a Salesforce Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role.
* Deep understanding of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) and financial services industry use cases.
* Proven experience leading Salesforce initiatives in banking environments (e.g., lending, account onboarding, case management, customer lifecycle).
* Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks and experience leading Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives).
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to align business goals with platform capabilities.
* Ability to document and prioritize epics, features, and user stories 
* Experience working across cross-functional teams including technical developers, QA, and training resources.
* Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Product Owner certifications.
* Experience with change management and user adoption strategies.
