Position Title: Senior Salesforce Administrator & Project Manager
Engagement Type: Full-time Contract (40 hours/week)
Remote – preference for close to CST time zone
Context:
The client is seeking a Senior Salesforce Administrator with blended Project Management capabilities to support and elevate their Salesforce instance across multiple teams and stakeholders. This is a hybrid administrative/process role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment—balancing hands-on administrative tasks with the oversight of day-to-day project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and momentum-driving efforts across the Salesforce ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will serve as both the go-to administrative expert for user support, configurations, and maintenance, as well as a communication hub and project orchestrator who can manage priorities, streamline communication, and ensure tasks and enhancements move forward on time and with clarity.
Role Responsibilities:
Salesforce Administration & Configuration
* Manage daily user support including permissions, roles, profiles, page layouts, and record types
* Perform configuration tasks such as field creation, workflows, process builder flows, reports, dashboards, custom objects, and validation rules
* Maintain and improve system data integrity, manage imports/exports, and perform regular data hygiene
* Monitor and manage platform updates and release cycles, ensuring organizational readiness
* Serve as internal SME for the Salesforce platform and its capabilities
Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement
* Serve as the liaison between users, stakeholders, and leadership to gather, clarify, and prioritize Salesforce enhancement requests
* Create and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams
* Lead and facilitate regular standups, check-ins, or stakeholder syncs to drive clarity and accountability
* Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current workflows and propose scalable, user-centered solutions
* Document processes, configuration decisions, and support change management efforts as needed
Business Analysis & Change Management
* Translate business needs into functional requirements and technical specifications
* Guide business users through system changes or upgrades, ensuring adoption and usability
* Support training and enablement across departments to increase Salesforce proficiency and engagement
* Track usage metrics and proactively identify opportunities for platform optimization
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator, with demonstrated experience managing a multi-department org
* Salesforce Administrator Certification required (Advanced Administrator or additional certs a plus)
* Strong hands-on skills with core Salesforce features: Reports, Dashboards, Flows, Approval Processes, Custom Objects, and Lightning
* Basic understanding of Salesforce security, sharing rules, and permission sets
* 2–3 years of experience managing **projects, sprints, or cross-functional initiatives
* Excellent communication skills—able to clearly articulate technical details to non-technical users
* Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to triage and manage competing priorities with grace
* Experience working with Jira, Asana, or other PM tools is a plus
* Experience in change management and user enablement across an evolving org structure
