Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the redesign and modernization of the digital banking web application, improving usability and visual appeal.
• Develop and maintain reusable and shared component libraries that support the evolving UI.
• Integrate externally managed content into application components, working closely with UX designers and other development teams.
• Collaborate effectively with test engineers and fellow developers to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Support ongoing development efforts with a focus on Angular, while demonstrating flexibility for full-stack contributions as needed.

Required Skills:

• Strong front-end development experience, preferably with Angular.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, with experience in frameworks such as React or Vue considered if complemented by relevant adjacent experience.
• Experience working with CMS-driven content management, with familiarity in Contentful or similar platforms viewed as beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain shared/component libraries.
• Knowledge of injecting external content into reusable components within shared design systems.
• Some UX experience or a strong affinity for user-centered design principles.
• Experience with version control tools, specifically Git and GitHub.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and thoroughly explain technical concepts and code.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools in a development context, including the ability to articulate how AI is used in coding and problem-solving.
• Full-stack background is acceptable, provided the candidate can contribute effectively to front-end development from day one.
• 2-4 years of professional experience, aligning with the complexity and depth of the role.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with other JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Prior work with Contentful or other headless CMS platforms.
• Exposure to UX/UI design principles and user experience enhancement projects.
• Knowledge of modern development workflows and tools beyond Git/GitHub.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in front-end development within digital or web application projects.
