Cross-Team Engineering Specialist (Remote, Strategic Microservices Migration)
Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cross-Team Engineering Specialist to spearhead a transformative project focused on modernizing a complex flagship application. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape a strategic decomposition of a monolithic system into agile microservices, migrating seamlessly to Azure. The successful candidate will be a technical driver, owning the entire migration strategy and execution, and will play a critical role in overcoming technical debt and driving innovation in a high-stakes environment.
Required Skills:
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience in .NET/C# and Azure cloud environments
- Proven leadership in monolith-to-microservices migration projects, from strategy formulation to full execution
- Deep technical expertise with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive migration plans independently
- Strong ownership mentality with the capacity to be a self-motivated “driver” of initiatives
- Proactive and resilient, capable of navigating complex technical and political landscapes during high-visibility projects
- Experience resolving technical debt and enforcing best practices in scalable cloud architectures
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience working with financial or other highly regulated industries (not mandatory)
- Knowledge of containerization, orchestration tools, or DevOps practices related to Azure
- Familiarity with large-scale enterprise architecture management
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive industry experience with complex system migrations and cloud strategy leadership
