Job Summary
Responsibilities:
The AVP, Digital Marketing – Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect will lead the design and implementation of digital marketing solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, website, digital platforms and personalization engines. This role will drive cross-channel campaign architecture, customer journey design, and platform integration to enhance personalization and engagement at scale. The role will also be responsible for oversight of the digital data and research team, ensuring alignment and support of the digital engagement and broader marketing teams, to drive business value. This position will lead innovation and digital thought leadership throughout the organization.
The position is accountable for maintaining the staffing of the assigned team, successful achievement of team goals, and ensuring the expenditures are within the department’s approved operating budget.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead the architecture and execution of marketing automation strategies using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio, etc.).
• Provide strategic recommendations and collaborates in lockstep with strategists that manage other marketing channels (SMS, social, mobile, web, paid media, direct mail, etc.).
• Design and implement customer journeys and multi-channel campaigns across email, SMS, web, and social platforms.
• Lead the digital campaign strategy and execution, including developing plans for lead generation growth and lifecycle marketing campaigns.
• Oversee platform integrations with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other systems.
• Ensure effective data management, segmentation, and compliance with privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with marketing, digital engagement, digital experience, data and analytics teams to deliver data-driven, personalized experiences.
• Provide technical guidance and strategic direction for Marketing Cloud capabilities.
• Responsible for goals and KPIs; makes recommendations for testing and improvements. Review and analyze campaign results to constantly improve customer experience and marketing recommendations.
• Lead prioritization and collaborate to deliver digital campaigns and projects, including Marketing Cloud website, digital platforms and personalization engines.
• Identify and lead mitigation of roadblocks, in collaboration with digital engagement team, marketing and digital experience teams.
• Partner with marketing, digital engagment, digital experience and data teams to develop and integrate customer-centric programs.
• Provide thought leadership and be a knowledge transfer agent for best practices, capabilities, etc.
• Advocate for digital advancement
SKILLS
• Proven experience in marketing technology architecture and cross-channel campaign execution
• Strong understanding of CRM systems, APIs, data structures, and integration best practices
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders
• Advanced interpersonal, organizational, analytical skills
• Strong project management skills needed to drive progress on simultaneous efforts
• 2+ years hands on experience with SFMC
• Ability to review vast amounts of industry- or category-specific research, synthesize and draw relevant conclusions and insights.
• Experience in building presentations and telling a clear story
• 8+ years of lifecycle and retention marketing-specific experience.
