Job Summary

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Workday QA Tester to join our client’s growing Workday team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of Workday implementations and enhancements, with a primary focus on Financials, HCM (Human Capital Management), and other Workday modules (such as Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Recruiting, and Expenses).

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Workday Financials, HCM, and additional modules.

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for Workday configurations and business processes.

  • Validate Workday reports, calculated fields, business processes, and integrations (e.g., EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, etc.).

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business needs.

  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution, and assist business users in validating results.

  • Log, track, and retest defects/bugs in test management tools (e.g., Jira, ALM, TestRail).

  • Assist in Workday release testing and regression testing during tenant refreshes and semi-annual updates.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure test environments and data are correctly configured.

  • Contribute to QA best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of hands-on QA testing experience with Workday HCM and/or Financials modules.

  • Strong understanding of Workday modules such as:

  • HCM: Core HR, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll.

  • Financials: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, Grants.

  • Knowledge of Workday integrations and reporting a plus.

  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ALM, Zephyr, QTest).

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
