IT Asset Management Specialist

Position Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist to join our IT team. This role is responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets, with a strong focus on laptop imaging and re-imaging, employee onboarding and offboarding, vendor coordination, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with excellent organizational and communication skills who can manage both technical and administrative responsibilities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Device Imaging & Deployment

• Perform imaging and re-imaging of laptops and desktops using standardized tools (e.g., MDT, SCCM, Autopilot, JAMF).

• Prepare and configure systems for new hires, including hardware setup and software installations.

• Maintain and update master images to ensure they meet company standards and security requirements.

Onboarding & Offboarding

• Coordinate IT setup for new employees, including device provisioning, account setup, and access to required systems.

• Decommission and wipe devices during offboarding, ensuring secure data erasure and hardware recovery.

• Work closely with HR and People Ops to streamline onboarding and offboarding workflows.

Inventory Management

• Track and manage hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle (procurement to disposal).

• Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory using asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper, Snipe-IT).

• Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure data integrity in asset tracking systems.

Vendor Management

• Coordinate with vendors for procurement, warranty claims, repairs, and returns.

• Evaluate vendor performance and maintain records of contracts, invoices, and service agreements.

• Ensure timely delivery of IT equipment and maintain adequate stock levels.

General IT Support

• Assist with day-to-day support tasks including troubleshooting hardware issues, peripheral setup, and basic end-user support.

• Document ITAM processes and contribute to SOPs and knowledge base articles.
