Securities Operations Research Analytics & Development (SORAD) – Alteryx Developer / Process Automation Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Alteryx Developer / Process Automation Engineer to join the Securities Operations Research Analytics & Development (SORAD) team. This individual will partner directly with business stakeholders to develop and support End User Computing (EUC) solutions, automate operational workflows, and improve business processes across Securities Operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Alteryx, SQL, APIs, and data workflow automation with the ability to understand complex business processes within a financial services environment. This role requires someone who can independently translate business requirements into scalable solutions while supporting production environments and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate operational needs into scalable EUC and automation solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain Alteryx workflows and other productivity tools supporting Securities Operations.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Support business-managed applications, production workflows, and enterprise data processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure the reliability of critical operational processes.
• Coordinate with project teams to facilitate testing, implementation, and successful delivery of business solutions.
• Support UNIX-based environments, data workflows, and production infrastructure supporting business operations.
• Work with SQL, NoSQL databases, APIs, and enterprise data platforms to integrate and manage operational data.
• Assist with issue resolution involving securities issuance, administration, and mortgage transaction data.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver projects on schedule while balancing multiple priorities.
• Ensure developed solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with operational and business objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience developing solutions using Alteryx.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions with minimal supervision.
• Experience supporting End User Computing (EUC) applications and business-managed solutions.
• Strong SQL experience with exposure to NoSQL databases and API integrations.
• Experience working within UNIX environments and supporting production infrastructure.
• Proven experience providing production support, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining critical operational processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently resolve complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within Securities Operations, Capital Markets, or Financial Services.
• Knowledge of the Government-Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) business model.
• Experience supporting mortgage securitization, Security Issuance, and Securities Administration processes.
• Experience with enterprise data workflow platforms and automation technologies.
• Familiarity with operational controls, business process improvement, and production support best practices.
