Job Summary

Salesforce Product Owner

Position Overview

We are seeking a Salesforce Product Owner to support a growing Salesforce team by partnering closely with business stakeholders and Salesforce developers to improve delivery speed and quality. This individual will act as the bridge between the business and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable development work while ensuring completed solutions meet business expectations before deployment.

This is a highly hands-on, tactical role for someone who enjoys working directly with stakeholders, writing requirements, managing backlogs, and driving successful Salesforce enhancements from intake through validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and development tickets.

  • Perform value vs. effort analysis to help prioritize enhancement requests.

  • Collaborate with Salesforce leadership to prioritize and manage the product backlog.

  • Prepare well-defined work items for Salesforce developers to minimize ambiguity and improve delivery efficiency.

  • Validate completed development against documented business requirements before business review.

  • Ensure solutions are ready for stakeholder approval and deployment.

  • Serve as the liaison between business users and the Salesforce development team throughout the delivery lifecycle.

  • Help streamline delivery processes and reduce bottlenecks by improving requirements quality and backlog management.

  • Work closely with Salesforce developers in an Agile environment to ensure successful execution of enhancements.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience serving as a Salesforce Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar functional Salesforce role.

  • Hands-on experience working within a Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Proven ability to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications and user stories.

  • Experience managing or supporting Agile backlogs and development workflows.

  • Ability to prioritize work based on business value and development effort.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to validate completed work against business requirements before release.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve.

  • Candidate must be able to clearly articulate their personal contributions and hands-on experience rather than speaking only from a strategic or executive level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC).

  • Exposure to the financial services industry is beneficial but Salesforce experience is considered more important than industry background.

  • Familiarity with MuleSoft and Salesforce Data Cloud is a plus.

  • Experience with Marketing Cloud is not required.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be:

  • Highly tactical and execution-oriented.

  • Comfortable rolling up their sleeves and owning day-to-day product delivery activities.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven.

  • Collaborative and able to build strong relationships across business and technical teams.

  • A proactive problem solver who can help improve delivery efficiency and reduce development bottlenecks.

  • A strong cultural fit who enjoys working as part of a collaborative, close-knit Salesforce team.
