Salesforce Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid – Washington, DC or New York, NY (on-site required days per week) Industry: Financial Services / Banking
About the Role
We’re seeking a Salesforce Business Analyst to support our banking client’s Salesforce ecosystem, with a focus on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC). This role will also contribute to broader enterprise business analysis initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications for Salesforce initiatives
- Serve as the primary BA on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud implementations and enhancements
- Partner with stakeholders across banking lines of business to identify process improvement opportunities
- Support broader enterprise BA work, including cross-functional projects outside the Salesforce platform
- Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and UAT with business and technical stakeholders
- Create user stories, process flows, and functional documentation for development teams
- Work closely with Salesforce developers/admins to ensure solutions align with business needs
- Support data governance, reporting, and dashboard requirements within Salesforce
- Assist with change management and user adoption efforts
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with direct Salesforce platform experience
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (required)
- Experience working within banking, financial services, or another regulated industry
- Strong requirements-gathering, documentation, and process-mapping skills
- Ability to bridge communication between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Business Analyst)
- Experience with additional Salesforce clouds (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud)
- Familiarity with banking/lending workflows and compliance requirements
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule based out of DC or NYC office
- On-site presence required per client policy
